Since acquiring the Delfoi Robotics, the offline programming and simulation software (OLP), in 2022, we now have a powerful robot offline programming tool that enables users to bring their virtual programs to real-life production systems with high accuracy.

Visual Components is an international company. Our headquarters are in Espoo, Finland, but we have offices in Tampere Finland, the US, and Germany, along with a global partner network of partners and resellers. The Visual Components team is truly multinational - we have people from over 22 countries, and we speak at least 12 languages!

The role and the team
We are looking for a Software Developer to join our team that builds the robotic offline programming solution. 

You will join the team of the world’s leading developers of robot offline programming and simulation software (OLP). Delfoi Robotics software has been selected as the best programming software in several international industrial benchmarks. 

We work together on shared goals, being the owner of their product area. The team uses Scrum and includes developers, a testing engineer, and a product owner. 

You would join our team located in Tampere, but we support you if you want to work at our headquarters in Espoo or remotely from any place in Finland.

You will make an impact by
You will be developing the most versatile and user-friendly robotics offline programming tool in the world. You will be working on features that make complex tasks in robot offline programming easier and more automated. The features blend CAD model information, manufacturing process knowledge, and digital twin technology. 

As a team member, you will be developing new features, maintaining code and various tooling environments, conducting research on new areas as well as refactoring the old where needed.

Skills that are important for a developer in this team  
  • We work with Microsoft technologies and tools, mostly for the Windows desktop platform.  
  • Deep hands-on experience in C# is crucial for the role  
  • Skills in building software with Python
  • Experience or deep interest in robotics and/or industrial automation  
  • Fluency in speaking and writing in English because it is our working language  
A great bonus for us would be if you have  
  • Experience in desktop UI development (WPF) or equivalent  
  • Relevant educational background e.g., a master’s or bachelor’s degree in automation technology, robotics, electrical engineering, computer science, or information technology – but this is not mandatory in case you have learned the skills some other way
