The role and the team
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on IT Manager to join our compact and skillful IT team. The core tasks of the team cover a broad area and are built to ensure that our IT infrastructure is secure, reliable, and efficient. We also aim to ensure that the Visual Components team has the right tools and support to be productive and successful.

Your impact
  • Managing and prioritizing IT team tasks and cooperating with company management
  • Managing and maintaining Windows and Linux servers to support critical business functions
  • Procurement of company IT services, software, and IT-related hardware
  • Managing supplier and partner relationships
  • Ensuring compliance of IT processes with cybersecurity principles
  • Cooperating with parent company ITe.g. collaborating on strengthening IT security
  • Providing proactive IT support
  • Deploying new assets such as computers, network devices and other IT-covered devices
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues for users, and collaborating with external vendors when hardware problems arise
  • Maintaining and administrating SQL Servers
  • Maintaining our Cloud systems (Azure and AWS)
The skills you will bring
  • Previous experience in IT management, system administration, and support
  • Proven ability to coordinate IT team efforts, communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and represent team needs when working with management, vendors, and partner IT
  • Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and continuously improve IT processes in response to evolving business needs, user feedback, and incident trends.
  • Deep hands-on skills with Windows Server and Linux systems
  • Experience in managing Microsoft 365 services
  • Experience with virtualisation software, e.g. VMware
  • Experience with Azure and AWS public cloud services
  • Experience in administrating SQL servers
  • Network administration (routers, switches, wireless devices)
  • Solid knowledge of cybersecurity principles, for example knowledge of ISO27001 standards, and their implementation
  • Good command of scripting languages (e.g. Python, Powershell, C#) to automate administrative IT tasks
  • Knowledge about Azure DevOps and/or software build chain maintenance
  • Educational background in IT or acquired similar theoretical skills through extensive practical experience.
Languages: 
  • English language – professional proficiency in written and spoken speech is required, because it is our working language.
  • Finnish language – professional proficiency is mandatory to communicate with external providers and work with legal documents.
This role requires eligibility for a security clearance in accordance with the Finnish Security Intelligence Service (SUPO) criteria.
